Description
CWE-502: Deserialization of Untrusted Data - CVE-2015-7253 Commvault Edge Server, version 10 R2, deserializes user-provided cookie data without properly validating it first. An unauthenticated attacker with access to the CommVault Edge Server Web Console can provide specially crafted cookie data that, when deserialized, results in the execution of arbitrary OS commands with the web server's privileges. |
Impact
A remote, unauthenticated attacker can provide specially crafted cookie data that, when deserialized, will execute arbitrary OS commands with the privileges of the web server. |
