Overview

Savant Web Server has a buffer overflow vulnerability in handling of the HTTP 1.1 Host header.

Description

Savant Web Server has a buffer overflow vulnerability in handling of the HTTP 1.1 Host header. HTTP requests with long Host headers will cause Savant to crash.

Impact

Remote attackers can cause Savant Web Server to crash and may be able to execute arbitrary code on the server.

Solution

The CERT/CC is currently unaware of a practical solution to this problem.
